Shearwater was founded on the principle that patience and an adaptable investment approach are distinct advantages in the pursuit of investments with attractive risk-adjusted returns. Such investment opportunities are frequently found at times when capital is scarce, and during periods of market or sector-specific dislocation and stress.

We have a strong focus on protection of investment capital and the delivery of target returns without any improvement in economic conditions. Where possible however, we endeavour to capture for our investors additional upside that may be delivered by improved fundamentals during the life of an investment.
